A long weekend in our garden!

 

As we have a long weekend here in Belgium and the weather forecast is very promising, we certainly will enjoy our garden!

Tomorrow Jan will finish some jobs that have to be done in our garden. He wil lay bricks for a flight of steps, add some gravel to the paths and will start the lay out of our vegetable garden! But that’s for tomorrow! Today we will relax and enjoy our garden.

So I decided to share with you some pictures of our garden I took the passed weeks.

We moved in our house 4 years ago (June 2007) and we are very pleased to watch growing all the flowers, plants and trees we planted the passed years.

18 mei 2011 012 Our hydrangeas (planted April 2009)are a bit late this year! I am so looking forward to their flowering!

The young fruit trees and hedges in our backyard are doing well. We planted them Autumn 2009.

1 juni 2011 010 (2) And I am so proud of our grape-vine we planted in 2007 at the wall of the orangery! He is doing so well and gives us lots of white grapes!

    Wat heb je toch een geweldig huis met een prachtige tuin! Dat is met deze dagen helemaal genieten, nu de zon zo volop schijnt!

    Absolutely breathtaking Greet!! It looks like a fairytale :) Love all the flowering roses, the hydrangeas are one of my all time favorites and they just keep blooking all summer, which I love! Then to have the apple and pear trees...how neat, you are going to enjoy this so much all summer long. Do you also have a vegetable/herb garden?
    I love how you lined the gravel path with aspirin rose roses....they are so beautiful! Truly dreamy.....enjoy the fruits of your labor.

    It really is all so lovely, Greet! All your plants are happily blooming and the house is so elegant. The climbing hydrangea is perfect in the small space next to the handsome wood doors. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

    What an absolutely gorgeous house and property you have, dear Greet! I never tire of seeing it, there is so much beauty to take in. You must enjoy just walking around and looking and smelling everything. Everything looks like it has been there for years, but I have a feeling that you and Jan built that house, am I correct?

    Your gardens are beautiful. I love the plane trees lined on each side and your rose garden. Everything looks so lovely. I imagine sitting outside with the various fragrances of the flowers and roses would be divine!

    Oh my gosh, Greet, your home and your gardens are so beautiful! I love everything, especially the exterior view of your orangery and the picture of the climbing hydrangea - the wood doors and brick walls and oval window are all gorgeous!

    Greet, Everything is looking soooo beautiful. It's so fun that I've been following and can really see the difference as you have added things and they have grown and matured. It's all just fabulous. I noticed that you planted the creeping hydrangea in 2008. It's blooming. Is this the first year. We planted this in our herb garden last year and it is a lovely vine, but have been told that it will take a few years to bloom. I can't wait. Yours is really beautiful. Have a great weekend. Mona
