I am pleased to share with you today the pictures of the finishing part of our orangery-redo. The pictures are taken by me with a cybershot Sony camera, so forgive me for my unprofessional photographie.
Enjoy!
Coffee table executed by our company Lefèvre Interiors.
The existing sofa is slipcovered with the identical linen as the upholstery of the new large sofa opposite.

The color of the lime paint is much warmer than the flat cool grey painted walls before.

At the upper part of the chimney mantelpiece we hung a group of antlers.
To obtain a more straight and clean look, I have chosen for a fixed upholstered large sofa.
This will be my new reading corner!

I just love the color of my antique vase I placed on the chimney piece.
The orangery is much warmer, lighter, much airier and more peaceful than before. Aren’t you agree?

DeleteWell I thought the Before's looked pretty good but now it looks spectacular! Wish I had a reading corner like that - would be there all the time.
ReplyDeleteWaanzinnig Greet! Prachtige chique en sobere sfeer! De grote witte bank vind ik ontzettend mooi, de vloer ( had je al toch?) vind ik ook geweldig, robuust, landelijk en stoer.
ReplyDeleteGreet...this is aboslutley beautiful! What I love most is that it looks like its been there forever, love the floors, the wall treatment, the gorgeous stone mantle and the stunning lantern, its all exquisite and done in the finest of taste. Love the beautiful soft palette you have so carefully and wisely selected. Hope you give yourself a big pat on the back...its well deserved!

So handy you have your own company to make furniture for you and they did a wonderful job. Love the view out your windows too! Ralph must be so happy to have his bedroom back.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, you have a great room. The brick floors are wonderful and love that fireplace.

The orangery is truly a peaceful oasis. I love how the lime walls add their quiet elegance. You just want to touch them!
ReplyDeleteThe room brings to mind the feeling of Axel Vervoordt's creations. And that is a mighty compliment, my dear!
Absolutely beautiful. It was perfectly nice before but it's even better now - just so warm and inviting. And I agree with Tina - it looks like it was always this way - which in my book is the biggest accomplishment!!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful! The color is fabulous and you definitely created a space that is full of character. We love it and know you will enjoy this space. We are so inspired!!!
ReplyDeleteLieve groet, Ingrid

Greet, absolutely stunning! I wonder which chic design magazine will be the quickest on its feet to feature this!
ReplyDeleteThe sofa table is beautiful and the perfect length.
Very, very nice my friend.
Happy weekend,
Mon
P.S Sorry I have not been here lately. The kids are on Spring break and I am staying away from the computer.
ReplyDeleteProficiat Greet!
Saskia
that is absolutely perfect!
ReplyDeletehappy day!

ReplyDeleteI love the mantle and the coffee table pottery with blooming branch!
ReplyDeleteThe orangerie is exquisite. It has an intangible serenity...warm and cool at the same time. And you have a great eye for photography. I, too, have a Sony and I'm amazed at the photos that little camera can take.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will visit my blog, www.designredux.com. I'm new at this, but I'm having a great time.
Thanks again for your beautiful posts.
Absolutely love it. The new warmth is wonderful. The simplicity of all the decor is just stunning. It's that mind for detail that I so admire in you. Most people would look at the room before and think it didn't need a thing. I have to admit it was pretty fabulous. But your mind went further and perfected every detail. I know you will so enjoy spending time in your new room. Have a great weekend. Mona
ReplyDeleteWOW, JUST LOVELY.. COLOR, SIMPLICITY, FORM, ALL FEELS VERY GOOD...
ReplyDeleteTHE PHOTO'S I WOULD NOT EVEN IMAGINED THEY CAME FROM A DESIGNER AND NOT A PHOTOGRAPHER, BUT YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE AN EYE AND YOU CAN TRANSLATE THAT INTO ALL THAT YOU DO WITH BEAUTY..

Stunning Greet - the room is divine! I love the new sofa - wow! It is exactly like what I've been looking for and cannot find - tight back, bench seat, clean but still curved details as I have a traditional home. I love it!!

Greet, my friend it looks great ! I have so much trouble with your blog I rarely try to leave a comment. I can't get it to scroll down and I have to type and type to get a comment... But I was determined no matter how long it took to let you know what a wonderful job you did. 5 stars
ReplyDeleteGreet this looks so wonderful. Such a peaceful and soothing environment. I scrolled up and down, taking in all the beautiful details. The love that went into creating this room is tangible and I love your artistic touch in arranging each object in the exact spot.
ReplyDeleteThe gigantic wooden boulder is beyond fabulous. I know you or Monika did a feature of them a while back, but I can't remember where they are originally from. Belgian or Dutch? I would love to own one - can you give me pointers on price and outlets?
Happy weekend and congratulations on a fantastic job done. I can't wait to hear about what magazines will feature this masterpiece!!
Warm hugs from Sydney
xx Charlotta
Greet, this looks stunning! What a gorgeous room, just perfect to enjoy a fire in winter, or throwing open the windows to relish in your beautiful surroundings in spring and summer.

Of all you did in the orangery the wall treatment takes the crown! It changes everything!
ReplyDeleteThe place exudes grandezza! Wonderful.
Now all you need is a couple of potted orange and lemon trees!
Enjoy! I love the rugged, obviously put to good use fire place as well!
What a difference the lime paint makes - and you have made every touch look inevitable, just lovely.

ReplyDeleteQuel travail dans l'orangerie !
La patine est bien réussie et donne une ambiance plus chaleureuse qu'avant. La cheminée est mieux intégrée au reste de la pièce. Une bonne idée et un bon choix !
