Goodday dear readers, I hope everyone has had a nice weekend!
As I browsed into some older issues of magazines and some of the interior design books which I hadn’t taken of our library shelves since a long time, I came across some beautiful and inspirational images.
To start this new week, I absolutely wanted to share with you a few images that really caught my eye !
In every image, I love the warmth of the wood !

All of these images showcase the great look of wood. Love the Gilles Trillard photograph showing the library bookcases. So rich looking.
ReplyDeleteAs always, MAGNIFIQUE MA BELLE GREET! Anita
ReplyDeleteLove the leather hinges in the writing desk in the last photo! (And all the little cubbies...) Such simple and elegant details as well. There's an interesting commentary on craftsmanship in the Gilles Trillard photo - inadvertent i'm sure - seeing the beautiful leather bound books in the bookcase and the paperback books below... Love studying teh wood details in all teh photographs!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
John

Greet..what a gorgeous post and reminder that nothing comes close to the warmth and beauty of rich wood. That first picture is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images, I love wood, all we had here for many years was the orange-y oak and I know we're all very tired of it, so it's nice to see wood in other tones. I love the first image! Have a great week. Hugs, Cindy

I especially love the warmth of wood at this time of year when the days are cooler. So comforting to sit in a handsome wood paneled library with a nice fire. Happy autumn, Greet!

Hi Greet,
ReplyDeleteI love wood too - so much adds to my conflict with also liking clean and neutral. As you know, we all probably need at least three, but probably, five houses to complete all the design that we love. But, then there would be the difficulty of caring for all of them - another issue. If any design is done well, I usually really like it. For sure though, I love Belgian design, and you present it so well as this post illustrates.
xo,

ReplyDeleteAdore the bookcases! As usual, you are spot on!
Best always, Jamie Herzlinger
