Authentic Nautic collection by the Belgian lighting company Tekna

In my series of interior and architectural design related Belgian companies, I’d love to introduce you to our Belgian lighting company TEKNA, one of my favorite sources for beautiful lighting.

Their Nautic collection presents authentic light fittings, made out of pure materials such as bronze, copper, cast iron and brass.

It is a collection of lighting fixtures with ancient forms with a timeless character, at the same time modified for contemporary use, all made by craftsmen.

Inspiration for the Nautic collection was found in old trains and ships.

‘Nautic's mains objective is to be there without wanting to be seen, not to be pushy, but honest, not striking, but stylish. In short, as pure as the poetic sense of light.’, is to read on the TEKNA website.

The following images show you some of my favorite Nautic lighting fixtures.

  2. Oh yes, they have some gorgeous lighting!!! Not the bling and "look at me" attitude that so many of the fixtures that I love have. But they are nice! Thanks for letting us see them.

  3. Hi Sis!
How are you? How is Mango????? I think this is beautiful lighting.... The Essex with the wisteria is gorgeous in it's simplicity..... The Montrose reminds me of New Orleans and the Lilley is just fun..... If I could have that would have been shop lighting.......... Maryanne xo

  15. How fantastic is your post.....especially since I represent them in the United States. I have worked with Erik and Marike for years, and not only are they great designers, business people but also incredibly nice ! They are my best sellers among the exclusive lighting collection that I have in new York.
I have also used their lighting in all my design projects...

And speaking of which - BIG CONGRATS on your mention in ELLE DECOR by writer/director Nancy Meyers for including Belgian Pearls as one of the 12 Things She Can't Live Without!! SO GREAT!!
