Whenever I see a door half opened or I can take a glimpse through a glazed door, my eyes are always focused on what’s behind.
“Secret” doors are the worst! My curiosity is completely sparked! I can’t help!

The first door I would open is the one with the puppy, then we could go on an adventure to see what lies behind the other beautiful thresholds!
ReplyDeleteLovely post. Thank you.
Andie
Oh how I love every single passage way here dearest Greet, but my favorite is the first one, from YOUR OWN collection!!! LOVELY! Anita
Ha! That's so true!!! I agree w/ you and yes, I'm a very curious person sometimes. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat post, sweetie!
Have a great day!

The 1st and last photos have touched my heart, Greet. Always always love your beautiful styling. Nobody does it better, my friend. Our BIO post for Christmas is December 1st, please try to participate with us, it should be special and quick to do. Sending love....
ReplyDeleteSecret doors are amazing aren't they Greet!! That third picture stole my heart.... and of course your first picture is spectacular. I love the idea of a secret door and keeping a little suspense in a home:) Have a wonderful day...xoxo
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean Greet and never realized you do want to see beyond! That first image, I think it’s your sister’s orangery, is fabulous. Thank you for pointing out what I haven’t been seeing!
ReplyDeleteGreet,
ReplyDeleteI always love your designs. The orangerie is so beautiful. You just do beautiful work.
Love these image. I too love hidden door, and the ones here are genius.

yes, love secret doors as there is always a mystery surrounding them...and looking through a door to the room beyond is intriguing...
ReplyDeletebeautiful images..
best,
maureen
Gorgeous as always. I have a secret door to a jewelry closet...OOPs, my secret is out. Have a great day. Mona
ReplyDeleteI love it when I see one - the hardest thing for me is to see a beautiful home and then have it behind a discreet entrance...such a tease! :) That chateau that you showed has some beautiful versions and your work is also beautiful - as usual!
ReplyDeleteIn London I had an old house with jib doors and I loved them! They led into the scullery, the laundry and the boiler room so it wasn't glamorous, but they gave the central downstairs hall a certain dignity and simplicity.
ReplyDeleteAaaah! dreaming about living in one of those houses, opening and closing doors all day long! The curious puppy face is priceless.
ReplyDeleteCiao.
Beautiful images. I've always wanted a secret door somewhere in my home.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images, each with it's own story to tell. Sometimes it's the door itself, like the book case doors. Sometimes it's the compelling view beyond, like Chateau Moissac. Or the invitation I find in both of your images.
ReplyDeleteAll wonderful worthy of more consideration.
Cheers,
John
All beautiful Greet, but the first is my favorite, it's so so beautiful...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week
Hugs
Cecilia
Dearest Greet,
ReplyDeleteI love watching through the pane to see what's on the other side. Maybe that's why windows are so dear to me.....there are many recuperated doors and windows in my house. Some leftovers from a recent project are now becoming a large cabinet thanks to your most inspiring post on the subject recently.
I hope to open my doors to you some day!
Thank you Great, such an honor to find myself here.....and I love Lefèvre Interiors!
Love,
Ingela
i will always love the library hidden book doors best.
ReplyDeletethey are just too cool.
xx
Wonderful post! There is something about a secret door that just captures the imagination.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing.
Cindy
Oh yes! I love to see what is beyond a half open door with the interior lit up! I particularly liked the library "secret" door images. So tantalizing, at least to this snoopy lady!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day sweet friend, Cindy
Just love the intrigue of secret doors...and the invitation of slightly opened doors...a technique we use in photo styling...who can resist the temptation of walk through either. I want to walk through all of the beautiful doors here.
ReplyDeleteJermaine
Doors are my biggest weakness, if I see a beautiful door, I have to take a photo or memorise it! I really love your choices, they all seem to act as photo frames which makes them all the more intriguing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images, Greet, and such a provocative idea. My favorite is the first one, the orangerie. Have a wonderful day. Best...Victoria
ReplyDeleteIsn't that first image your sister's home Greet? I love that room. Doors when done right (ornate, grand, etc) can make a room.
ReplyDeleteloving the inspiration this morning, greet! thanks.

Wij zijn ook van plan om met het soort tegeltjes van de eerste foto te werken in onze ingang, eveneens met fère forgé ramen, kijk er al naar uit!
ReplyDeletePrachtige inrichtingen!
I thought id stop by and post a comment since im checking out some new blogs. So greetings from the Amish settlement of Lebanon ,Pa. Richard from Amish Stories.
ReplyDeleteDecoration in each room is hard, but you did it perfectly, so neat and clean it is!! these colours are divine, I enjoyed looking at these, especially those that were more subtly bold.
ReplyDeleteGreet this is WONDERFUL! I adore glazed doors too, not only are they intriguing they are a wonderful way of letting light into otherwise darker rooms. I have to say that I stopped opened mouthed at the oh so elegant panelled Lefevre room! It truly oozes luxury and warmth and the divine accent of the cranberry coloured roses and lamp are GENIUS!!!!!! I love your style Greet!
