If you are like me and you love to spend some time in your bathroom, then I might think you will enjoy my post of today.
There are so many beautiful bathrooms. To my opinion you should have 2 different bathrooms at your home. A classic styled bathroom and a contemporary styled one.
Depending on your mood of the day, you could take a bath in your classic styled bathroom, listening to some classic music or you could choose to take a bath while listening to lounge music in your contemporary styled bathroom!
In this post I show you some images of bathrooms I really love!

I love the warmth of this bathroom by bringing in a lot of wood as the bath paneling and the wooden shutters.
Are you agree with me that this bathroom is a wonderful place to spend some time?

However it was not described, I might think that in this bathroom the Morrocan tadelakt technique is used on the walls and for the bath tube as well.
I definitely would go for this technique if I had a second bathroom. If you want to know more about tadelakt click HERE, HERE and HERE.

What a wonderful post, Greet...I feel as though I've been around the world. Oh for a fireplace in the bath, but in Texas it would only be for decoration I think. xx's

Hello my friend,
ReplyDeleteThose are all spectacular bathrooms. I especially liked the ones with fireplaces, the footed tubs and the tubs in the little alcoves. But they are all so luxurious! I Love them all!!!
Hugs, Cindy

ReplyDeleteGreet .... these bathrooms are stunning and everyone of them I could luxuriate in! My favourite is the white island bath with the grey french doors behind it. Such beautiful images and I love your choices. Have a lovely Sunday!

Oh, such beautiful bathrooms. I have a hard time selecting what I would love to have. For one thing a fireplace is a great thing, for another some gorgeous view into a garden is aways so relaxing while sitting in the tub....
ReplyDeleteThanks for this wonderful selection!

Greet, I love your bathroom! My other favorite is Axel's bathroom - what a cozy place to retreat for a relaxing bath. Like a little sanctuary.
ReplyDeleteThank you for providing such great input to my post on casement windows! I love having blog friends in Europe that I can ask questions about authentic European design elements! My sister emailed me and asked about your beautiful library. She is renovating her 1929 house in Washington DC (this is a very old house for DC, believe it or not!) and she wanted to know all about the library in your house - she thought that the paneling and the color of the stain was absolute perfection!
Thank you for the mention, and thank you for this wonderful post.
I like the classic bathrooms - and some of your photos are so wonderful, I could just move in and never leave.
ReplyDeleteI've found my favorite bathroom ! It's the one from Things That Inspire. I love the simplicity of it. And your own bathroom is also very nice.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day !!

I prefer the very first picture of the bathroom, if you added in a fireplace it would be pure heaven! I noticed all the bathrooms in Europe have high ceilings, I love high ceilings and dream of them. Fabulous post, thanks for sharing and have a lovely Sunday Greet.
ReplyDeleteDebra,
Thank you for the post, Greet! Very inspiring and great sources!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Greet! I am over the moon for these bathrooms -- I cannot choose a favorite. I adore the one by Axel Vervoord -- it's so unique and beautiful. (don't you love his books?) I also love the one just above that, source unknown. That one is by Baden Baden -- so so grand... and then, the contemporary ones, because they are so clean and simple, but with such great focus on materials.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these -- I hope you are having a fabulous weekend,
xoxo
These are some of the most beautiful bathrooms...thank you for these gorgeous pictures and wonderful inspirations...xv
ReplyDeleteOh Greet, these are absolutely gorgeous. They make me think of going on a luxury spa vacation.
ReplyDeleteNow you've done it. I can't go in MY bathroom.... I love the Skurman designed bathrooms and the one image of the tub in the middle of the room with the mosaic tile like waves surrounding it... They all are beautiful...I will file this post...... Always lkbeauty and elegance here!!!!!Thanks! Best to Jan.. MA & Robes xo
ReplyDeleteFabulous images. I saved several of them for future inspiration. I particularly liked the one with the arched tile ceiling over the tub, built- in niche and and curved window transom over the tub. Very warm and creative. Thanks for sharing all. Your posts are always just the best. Happy Sunday, Mona
ReplyDeleteWow!! This is an absolutely stunning collection of gorgeous bathrooms!! It's impossible for me to choose just one favourite, I love them all!!
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom with the treadmill was designed by Canadian designer Candice Olson on an episode of her TV show, Divine Design. That one has been in my inspiration folder for a while!!

P.S. I've just launched a new design blog. I hope you'll stop by and check it out.
Fantastic baths..! I have been to places in the world with no showers.. would wish for people that needed to clean up to soak down in bubbles in a bathroom such as this… one can wish.. :) Thanks for posting! <3
ReplyDeleteGreet I love all of them. I would not be able to choose my fav.
ReplyDeleteThanks.

Hi Greet,
ReplyDeleteI love the image of that white tub, with a chandelier above, overlooking the ocean! How wonderful is that!
And I did not expect that your bathroom would be anything less but beautiful and classy.
Happy new week to you my friend,
ox, Mon
Bonjour Greet !
ReplyDeleteAvoir une cheminée allumée, ou la vue sur la mer de sa baignoire, quel luxe ! De toutes ces salles de bain je préfère la première avec sa grande fenêtre
qui donne sur les arbres et les boiseries autour.
Bonne semaine !
Céline.
I love chandeliers in the bathroom...
ReplyDeletethey make the space look elegant instantly
I still have to find a bathroom with a chandy that I do not like.
They are beautiful and very much bathroom 'Porn' but I would be interested to see the styles applied to a much smaller space. Many people including myself have much smaller bathrooms.

What a wonderful selection Greet
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful bathrooms to choose from.. Brooke's is perfect of course!! hehe.. love her style.. and the axel-vervoordt is so unique!!! almost theatrical.. I love it!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!... xxx Julie
I wish....my bathroom don't come close to these bathrooms ....sadly....
ReplyDeleteI just can't choose one! They are all so gorgeous. I love the paneled bath tub that you designed, and the beautiful bathroom by Axel Vervoordt! He is such a master at emotional design.

Hi Greet,
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with your other followers about the fireplace in the bathroom, what an absolutely wonderful luxury, one day maybe! While I was back in Belgium in the summer, my husband and I visited Peter Porters store/design centre and it is the most sumptuous "showroom" I have ever been in, I would have moved in if I could, I remember the bathrooms being particularly splendid.
By the way, I can't wait to hear your interview on the SRT, coming soon!!
Angela
My goodness, these are beautiful. I LOVE the ones with fireplaces! So wonderfully cozy! (in temp, if not in size) I remember one home I visited that had head lamps over all the shower doors, for toweling off - wouldn't want to experience any abrupt and uncomfortable temp change! Nice idea, but a fireplace is much lovelier.

P.S. I'm hosting a Marc Jacobs jewelry give away! I hope you'll stop by! http://sfair.blogspot.com/2010/10/marc-jacobs-give-away.html
What a wonderful collection of beautiful bathrooms. Very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteways said to myself to take a modern bathroom but you make me doubt about it! Here are a few amaaaaaazing marble baths
ReplyDeleteMy bathroom measures 1.8m x 1.8m (the toilet is separate). Most of these pictures are for far bigger rooms; I wonder who cleans all the awkward corners?
ReplyDeletefabulous fabulous fabulous - what a collection!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Greet, If you ever need a freestanding antique tub we'd be happy to help... or just images of stunning rooms! We'd like to think we know what were doing! feel free to check our site. thebathworks.com
ReplyDeleteHave a great day! Daniel
Beautiful rooms. Any chance of finding out the color & type of paint used?
ReplyDeleteThird bathroom design is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe wood-inspired bathrooms give out some Victorian vibe. The elegance of these bathrooms is quite unmatched. The contemporary ones, on the other hands, really befit either the modern luxurious lifestyle, or the simplistic functional one. These days, remodeling focus on a lot of things, like aesthetics, interior design, and functionality.
ReplyDeleteFrameless shower doors are very economical to purchase and hence they can easily be purchased by the average people. They look very delicate and thin apparently and thus many people are afraid that they would easily break. However the fact is that they are much more strong, thick, and durable than the ordinary glass and this makes their maintenance easier.
ReplyDeleteWow,Wonderful post and all of these designs are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of bathroom design.
ReplyDeleteAll the design in this post is just so gorgeous and I am sure that it will cost a lot of money to be able to have that kind of bathroom. For me one of the parts of the bathrooms is the flooring. If the flooring has great design the whole bathroom will looks very amazing.
ReplyDeletelovely set of glass mirrors. make me want to chill more often at the bathroom. I love all the designs and the small details of each picture. keep on posting!
ReplyDeleteHow I wish my bathroom would look like one of these. I like bathrooms with huge windows not because I don't like privacy, but because it's very relaxing to see wonderful views outside while having a bath. But the bathroom has to be somewhere really secluded for me to be comfortable with it.
ReplyDeleteI was really impressed on what I have seen on those photos, really wonderful. The combination of blue and white tiles looks awesome.!I wonder how much the cost of those tiles. Choosing the best tile is such a good way in order to have an attractive and clean bathroom.
ReplyDeleteKitchen Benchtops
I must be abnormal, I do not like any of the bathrooms ! they all look freezing cold, full of unnecessary things, very difficult to clean, unless you are a living in a Manor, and have the life of a "gentleman - or gentlewoman's farmer".......................... wall paper on walls .............. just things of some kids playing in those bath tubes, and splashing, ridiculous ! - sorry
ReplyDeleteThe controls for turning the faucet of and on are on the countertop in front of the sink. They can also be mounted on the wall.More info
