Now Fall is coming our way, it evokes thoughts about sitting around the fire place while reading a good book .
So just dream away… to the coming cosy autumn days …!

Probably I will be reading a book here (last picture), in my own library corner.
I wish you all a warm and cosy weekend!
xx

ReplyDeleteGroet, Hennie
Let's see..
ReplyDeleteI would feel transported to medieval England if I were to sit and read in the room with the dusty grape walls and raspberry velvet tablecloth by Walda Pairon.
I would choose the second Contemporary Living with Antiques corner with the greige silk drapes and turned wood candlesticks. I am going to have to check out that book! Thanks, Greet!

The Marcus Soudant picture is my favorite and love the linen slip covered chair in the Johan De Ceuleneer picture, your spot looks fabulous! They’re really all wonderful to be honest and look so cozy. Now to go find a book……… Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreet !
ReplyDeleteQuoi de plus chaleureux et relaxant de lire au coin du feu dans un bon
fauteuil ? Merci de nous montrer tous ces intérieurs qui font rêver.
De belles ambiances automnales !
Bon week-end,
Céline.
I love a cosy reading corner, I have one in my bedroom by the window. I only wish I had a fireplace to sit next to in the winter months.

Oh, these are cozy and beautiful rooms, indeed. Thanks for sharing the inspiration. Fall is one of my favorite times of year and I like nothing better than cooking a meal for two and curling up on the sofa with a movie or book.

Hope you are enjoying a nice weekend (what is left of it!).

Gorgeous fire places!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Hello Greet -
ReplyDeleteAfter being open seven days a week for the Hamptons season I so look forward to sitting in any one of these rooms with a great decorating book, cup of tea, and a giant cupcake!!! Love the post - helps to look forward to the cooler days instead of missing the hot beach days....
Thanks Greet for a cozy post - inspirational and beautiful Belgium as usual.
Nancy
Hallo, I think I will read my books in the chair in your first picture. Lovely luscious fabrics. Thanks for the lovely ideas again. Enjoy your week. Sandra
ReplyDeleteBooks and gorgeous interiors do seem to go together perfectly, these are all so lovely! xx
ReplyDeleteGreet,
ReplyDeleteThese images are all so beautiful. You always share such inspiring things. Thank you for stopping by RHS. Hope you are well.
The first and the last images are my favorites, they really talk to me about warmth, cozyness, relaxing time enjoying the glow of a fireplace while reading a great novel.
ReplyDeleteDear Greet,
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning collection of fantastic reading areas!
I can very well picture you in that chair in your warm and inviting library, equipped with a great book and a big smile on your face.
Happy new week to you.
Love to you, Mon
Oh yes, a good book, light on the fire and som tea....I'm ready!
ReplyDeleteI love these images! It is raining here right now and those comfy chairs next to a crackling fire look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteDear Greet,
ReplyDeleteFor me your blog is the most inspiring place on the web, thank you! I look forward to getting to know all of the designers you have listed-John Saladino is also one of my favorites. I have a question about the beautiful antique discs that I have admired in Belgian interiors. There is one in the eleventh photo of this post-source unknown. What are they called? What purpose did they serve? Are they made of bronze?
Wow, what a great post, lovely cosy images!!
ReplyDeleteFall felt a million miles away until I stopped by your blog today. I especially enjoyed all of the lovely chairs and window treatments!
ReplyDeleteFantastic images, Greet.
ReplyDeleteComfy chair and plenty of books -best place to relax.

Hi Greete,
ReplyDeleteI hope the artist does read my comment, then you could be the next model! I meant what I said, too.
Your images here are so gorgeous and relaxing, while at the same time being cozy and warm looking. I adore the ones with the blazing fire, oh, I could just sit in the chair with a blanket over my knees and drink hot chocolate all day! heehehee! Such fun!
Hugs, Cindy
The "source unknown" room with the plaid walls (third photo from the top) is by Joel Woodard Interior Design. The room was in the Saddle River Showhouse. Photo by Brigit Snow.
