Do you love these interiors? I do! They have something nostalgic…
Interiors with a soul. They tell a story…They are well-worn.
Enjoy!

Ohhh eerie and haunting. Excellent rooms to celebrate Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThank you, enjoyed I did. Something that always appeals to me of something that has a history. I love the imperfection of those spaces. x
ReplyDeleteI love such rooms, love the tales they tell and the atmosphare, the gentle breathing of history...Could easily imagine to leave in such rooms, surrounded by books and prints, old china and a roaring fire to keep me warm and entertained...

I love the "realness" (if that is a word) of these rooms. These pictures look as if nothing was staged and the beauty just happened.
ReplyDeleteThe rooms all have a certain charm, though my favorite is the last with the pretty fabric and warm fire!
ReplyDeleteThank you! what a treat! smiles.
ReplyDeleteYes! I love them all. What a beautiful post, Greet. Just perfect. xo Lidy
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful. That second one is my favorite. To me one of your best posts. Great images. We talk to clients a lot about authenticity and striving for a peculiar sort of perfection that includes warmth and wear. All the places you chose have it. Thanks, Daniel
ReplyDeleteThat leather chair in the first photo is scrumptious! ...and the faded blues in the chaise and floor of the last photo...well blue is my color. I absolutely love the worn patina...the warmth and character that these rooms exude...I could easily and happily move right in to any of these special spaces! Perfect imperfection!
ReplyDeletePretty post. Thank you! :) Laura
I LOVE well worn interiors. There's so much implied story in faded grandeur, loved and cherished interiors that have beautiful objects that were actually USED and not stored in a museum or box, worn with age.
ReplyDeleteThere is something I love in each and every room. But, I must admit - I love new houses and a clean, fresh atmosphere! I like the old in small doses - maybe an old door, or an old piece of furniture, but there is something about the new that really appeals to me!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, though...the picture of the piano next to the fireplace really makes me happy.
I adore the well worn chair in the first image. I recognized some of the images from Trouvais....you both find such interesting things to look at!

I think you know that I love well worn interiors. The patina of age is unique and can't be reproduced. That's why I love filling new homes with old pieces. They add character to a space.
ReplyDeleteThank you for another beautiful post Greet.

ReplyDeleteHave a nice day !

What is not to love! (But for me in smaller doses). Having said that a nice looking, worn leather chair can move in with me any time! And I have always liked dining rooms with some old patina and nostalgia. Cyber hug, Mon
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing I love more (design wise) than a well-worn place, so beautifully worn by time, such as these...particularly that image with the large, golden ornate mirror and piano.
ReplyDeleteDo you think it possible to transport me to that image? I would love to be in that room...
Hope you are having a wonderful week! Thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind comments. I just adore your blog :)
Wonderfully romantic. Just so atmospheric. Cool and serene. One of your best collections of images. Perfection.
ReplyDeleteThe first image is so much like the leather chair from Paris I became obsessed with in my Dunhill chair post! And, the room with the slate floor, wicker furniture and fireplace...I could stay in it forever!!!
ReplyDeleteInterior with a soul is exactly what I love !
ReplyDeletemerci Greet, for theses inspiring photos
I love how each room tells its own story. You really do feel like you step back in time. Beautiful images Greet! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletexo,
Desiree
I love them...but can't help think about how I would feel in the evening with the candles lit...a bit scary!! They are so theatrical!!
ReplyDeleteBest Greet...what a great post idea!
Michelle
Heel mooi deze verweerde look. En ik me maar druk maken als er een krasje op plekje op een van m'n deuren zit :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is the "I wound't change a thing interior" ... It looks as if the owner left in hurry, without a trace and everything was left, for some explorer to discover ... wish it was me!! sighhhh
ReplyDeletegreat
love trouvais and big daddy antiques!!!

Beautiful patina like that comes only with time. I could happily live in any of these spaces.
ReplyDeleteLove them all! They all show so much character.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love the room in the last picture!! The blue stone floor is amazing, and the big vase of purple flowers are the perfect accent :-)

There is something so cozy about well-worn interiors. Since I can't have a well-worn home, I've settled with well-worn furniture...especially wood.
ReplyDeletei love it all... esp the leather chair in first photo and the wicker chairs in the last with the pale indigo print cushions... aaahhhh i would love to find that fabric!!! always a lovely post greet... you are so inspiring... x pam
ReplyDeleteThis is a look I am beginning to favor more and more. And the images you chose are wonderful! Marija
ReplyDeleteremarkable images.
ReplyDeletei love the one with the piano best.

Hi Greet,
ReplyDeleteIt seems like forever since I have visited you here. I love worn interiors, some of those make me swoon, I want to quietly walk in and sit down and just breathe. Gorgeous rooms!
Thank you so much for your comments on my new kitchen, it means a lot to me, coming from you. Believe me, if you ever come to Canada, you have a standing invitation to come and sit at my humble little table and enjoy a meal with us.
Big hugs, Cindy S
PS I love the new look of your blog, very beautiful.
Such soulful places. Visual poetry.
ReplyDeletewarmly, -s
All that texture!! Love the image parade Greet, and image no. 5 has stuck with me.. That lonely grand piano that looks so tiny in relation to the fantastic oversized mirror!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
xx Charlotta
