Impressions of Maison & Objet and blogger "meet and greet"

Although I am back home from Saturday night, I really did not found the time to post about our trip to Paris for the Maison & Objet exhibition.
It was a very nice but exhausted visit.
I have taken a lot of pictures but I will show you here some impressions of Maison & Objet and a few of my favorite pictures.
There were so many items to discover as table wear and table linen, bedlinen, fabrics,...but I have to say that I was in particular interested in furniture and lighting companies.
I hope you will enjoy this little tour!
.
At the entrance, beautiful coloured presentations of Maison Hermès!

You know that I wrote about the blogger "Paris meet and greet" in my previous post!
Well, a few of us met in the Hotel Duo Bar in Paris!
This was the place to be....

....and here we are!!!
From the right to the left : Maryanne Flaherty (Texas) of Beadbourdupcountry blog ,
Tracey Leeson (Australia) of Porchlight Interiors blog ,
Peter (husband of Maryanne), Amanda Harris (Australia) of Oliveaux blog,
Haley Leeson (sister of Tracey) and me.

My husband Jan in a good conversation with Peter!

It was so nice meeting Maryanne, Peter, Amanda, Tracey and Haley. We talked a lot and learned to know eachother better!
I am so thankful that they all did an effort to meet us there!!
So a few cocktails and glasses of Champagne later, we kissed good bye and went to our hotel room because we were all tired of walking around at Maison & Objet during the day.

Hotel Le Tourville
This is the hotel where we (Jan and me) stayed.
We haven't seen a lot of Paris itself of course, but driving from the Maison & Objet exhibition to the hotel, who was situated in the heart of Paris, we had a beautiful sightseeing of Paris.
.
I hope that I inspired you to visit Maison & Objet in September!
xx

  2. I was so impressed with maison & objet when I was there last year. Some of the booths are just phenomenal! Even more impressive are the CROWDS of people in that immense collection of halls though. I've never seen such huge interior spaces!

  9. Greet, I'm so glad you were able to go and meet up with some fellow bloggers! What a beautiful show and thank you for sharing your pictures! In the old days one would not have been able to take pictures without permission, they must have relaxed the rules;-)

  13. Thanks for the photos - I would love to go one day. I can relate to not knowing what company belongs to a photo. You think you will remember at the time, but you end up with tons of business cards and brochures, that it's easy to forget.

  14. Greet,

So glad you are home safe and sound. What a fabulous trip, though I know you are exhausted. I'm always in need of a day at home in quiet after a trip like that. So hope I can go in the fall. And, so glad you got to meet some fellow bloggers. So fun! Missed hearing from you.

    Talk soon.

  30. Hello Greet, I love your post about M & O . I can see you took a lot of pictures. DId you have a press pass ?
The brand you don't remember the name , isn't it Bleu Nature ?
I saw a lot of Belgian companies there . That is fabulous to see what others bloggers like and what they saw , we are all so diferent . I'm not as positive as you about M & O.
For lightings , I love Lustrerie Mathieu , I don't know if they has a stand this year in M& O and for potteries I love a brand which is pretty close to me in Aubagne : Poterie Ravel ( you can't still see them working on terracotta ).
I wish I could have met you in Hotel Duo

  33. Hi Greet,

Great blog, I love looking at your inspiring photographs. Belgium is my all out favourite country in the whole wide world, having lived there for 8 years before our recent move to Tokyo, and having bought a beautiful house on the Schoten/'sGravenwezel border, so looking at your blog fills in some gaps and makes me yearn to come back. I received my Stijlvol Wonen magazine yesterday and await Tijdloos and Wonen Landlijke Stijl with anticipation (just enquiring about having Landelijke Wonen delivered too! The Belgian publications are the best. I found Libeco recently and just bought a couple of beautiful fine flax table runners, heaven. My husband is traveling to Antwerp on the weekend, I wish I could be in his place, so that I could bring back some little beauties to decorate our apartment. As it is, I have beautiful big glass vases filled with Promax candles, blonde basketware and oodles of terracotta ware that my Japanese friends drool over, if only I could work out a way to bring these beautiful things over to sell here, wouldn't that be wonderful, but I think that the import duty would kill me!

Love your company's beautiful carpentry work, maybe one day if/when we return to our house, I will call on you for some help.

    Greetings from sunny Tokyo

  41. I really like the brand that joao was talking. They are incredible indeed. Other brand from Portugal that I quite like is Delightfull. It’s a lighting design brand that uses the imaginary around the music and the 40’s until 70’s decades. They do a wonderful job, you must see it. Take a look at www.delightfull.eu.
