My earlier blogpost gave me inspiration to the blogpost of today. When I saw the picture of the bathroom with the wooden bath tub, I tought to share with you some wonderful wooden tubs.
The tubs can be made of oakwood, teak or mahogany.
So make your choice!

Would luv a soak in one of these tubs!

Thanks for the inspiration,

I have to say I have not seen such wooden tubs!!
ReplyDeleteThese would be wonderful to bathe.
I loved the one on the checkered floor. So cool! --Delores
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a wooden tub in person. They look great. I wonder how well they hold up and what the maintenance is on them. It would be interesting to know.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have made my choice (even if I can't see all pictures). I want to have the one that looks like a boat !

wow these are amazing!!! #1 is my choice!!! so many beauties though!
ReplyDeletehuge hug to you & thank you for your sweet comment today!!! :)

Well... since they all look so wonderful, I would want to take each one for a test drive to see which is the most comfortable...
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous post - well done!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved Japanese soaking tubs, but the designs above are on a whole different level. Thanks for the great images!
Fun! I love the last one pictured from Alegna - very sleek and the one from Riant Wowen magazine.
ReplyDeleteYou had me convinced by the first image. I think I need a wood tub!

I love the first one. We do not see wooden tubs here! Ax
ReplyDeletePositively splendid collection Greet! I have never seen a wooden tub before except maybe in a cabin. xo Terri

I can see myself enjoying a soak in the first tub but they are all so luxurious that it is hard to choose.
ReplyDeleteGreet, I don't even like to take baths! (One of the few people in the world! But I can dance in the shower for hours!). But since you with these images give me good reasons - I would pick the ones from your own design file no. 3 and no. 13. I actually think I could be quite comfortable in those tubs! Hope all is well with lovely you. OX Monika
ReplyDeleteI love it! They range from country to city chic!
ReplyDeleteGreet , it is a fabulous idea !! it looks so cosy. I love the 1st picture , it is my favorite one
ReplyDeleteI don't think a wooden tub would be my choice for a tub. Although, I do admit, they are pretty interesting looking all the way from what looks like an old rain barrel to plexy glass and wood mixed. I like the third one the best, but I think I will stick with an old fashioned white clawfoot as being my favorite. Hugs, Cindy S.
ReplyDeleteA wooden bathtub always has seem wrong to me as I compare it to boat, well a canoe, and its supposed to keep you dry, not to get soaked. Well this was my conception till we moved in our house in France where we had a wine cellar with a hughe barrel, I mean 2 M wide and 3M high, we thought about changing it in and enormous shower, it didn't happen, we gave the barrel away, I know stands in the Chateau de Mascaraas. Nice posting Greet. Cheers

My favorite is the one by bartokdesign. It seems like a cross between a Japanese bath and a Swedish Sauna!
ReplyDeleteThe first one for sure...as long as I can have the light fixture as well...beautiful post Greet.
ReplyDeleteNess xx
The first one is my favourite, Greet - so simple yet stylish.
ReplyDeleteHallo Greet,
ReplyDeleteDifficult decision...but I chose the first one...along with the entire room! Just lovely...and oh how I need a good relaxing soak about now. Hope all of your festivities are taking shape and that you will have time to relax and enjoy. ~jermaine~
Hi Greet!
ReplyDeleteThis was a most interesting post! Never have I seen so may different variation on a wooden tub. Some of them look like big gorgeous salad bowls you want to just jump in! I hope you and your family have a happy holiday season!!!!!!Maryanne
Greet these are fabulous! How nice to climb in and lean back against warm wood instead of cold anything! What a beautiful collection and post! Thanks for sharing.

Amazing tubs! I do like the idea that it wouldn't be all cold. Bet the wood would hold the warmth of the water better, too. Just wouldn't won't to get a splinter in my tush. LOL Just can't get over all the different styles...great post!

What about the Ofuro,a Japanese bath more and more popular look at the page:

Although the wooden bathtub typically serves as the focus of the bathroom, some people don’t like to bathe every day. They prefer to shower daily and then occasionally enjoy relaxing in the wooden tub.
